OPENING EVENT IN LEIPZIG

The Museum Night will start off on the market square in Leipzig at 5:30 pm. There will be German language sign interpreting.

INFORMATION BOOTHS

The Museum Night- team is going to be present at the market square in Leipzig (3 – 10 pm) and Goethestraße in Leipzig (6 – 10 pm). Latter is the central stop for extra buses on special routes through Leipzig. At these two places our team informs you about museums and their events,  travel options with local transport, special lines and ticketing.

EVENING SALES

On the evening of the of the Museum Night you can also buy tickets in many participating museums. Please have a look at the list „Programm & Museen“.

BUSES AND TRAMS

Museum Night tickets are valid for all buses, trams and trains of MDV* in Halle and Leipzig [fare zones: 110, 162, 163, 225 and 210] between 4 pm and 3 am the following day. In addition, extra buses on special routes will take you conveniently and free of charge through Halle and Leipzig. Please note the enclosed city map and the timetables in the program booklet.

Important notice! The free child ticket is only valid for public transportation when accompanied by a person from 19 years possessing a ticket. The free young ticket does not entitle you to take children with you. The terms and conditions of MDV apply.

BIKE SHARING

FREE RIDES WITH NEXTBIKE BY TIER
Cycle free of charge between museums and collections. The download of an app is mandatory. Please mind the different rates for each city. The offer is not valid for e-bikes, scooters and cargo bikes.

HALLE
Exclusively during Museum Night, 30 bike stations are available at participating museums or nearby. The free rides are valid for the duration of 30 min and must start or end at one of the 30 stations. From minute 31 the basic rate starts automatically [1€/15 min]. More info at movemix-bike.de.

LEIPZIG
The download of the LeipzigMOVE app enables to use 10 free rides à 15 min each month. From minute 16 the basic rate [1 €/15 min] starts automatically. More info at leipzig-move.de.
